A Komodo grad trip on the Superior phinisi: one boat split by 24 friends
Updated 20 October 2026
A Komodo grad trip on Lamborajo 1, the Superior phinisi, costs IDR 43,000,000 (≈ USD 2,638) for a private 3D2N with up to 12 guests and IDR 56,000,000 (≈ USD 3,436) with 24, so 24 friends pay IDR 2,330,000 (≈ USD 143) each. Four of its six cabins share bathrooms. Park tickets, flights and a guide are extra.
12 to 20 friends: three boats, three splits
Take three class sizes. At 12 friends the whole boat costs IDR 3,580,000 (≈ USD 220) each on Lamborajo 1, IDR 7,330,000 (≈ USD 450) on Lamborajo 2 and IDR 10,080,000 (≈ USD 618) on Lamborajo 3. At 16 the figures fall to IDR 2,810,000 (≈ USD 172), IDR 6,060,000 (≈ USD 372) and IDR 8,120,000 (≈ USD 498). At 20 they reach IDR 2,400,000 (≈ USD 147), IDR 5,350,000 (≈ USD 328) and IDR 7,000,000 (≈ USD 429).
Every row is 3D2N, whole boat, from the 2026 price list updated 4 May 2026. Prices step down at 13 and 17 guests, and each added friend inside a band lowers everyone's share.
For most classes the choice is between the first two. Lamborajo 1 keeps the cost low. Lamborajo 2 gives every friend a private bathroom. Lamborajo 3 suits a class that wants jacuzzi cabins as a prize for a few.
Grad trip for 24 on the Superior phinisi: days and the split
A class of 24 fills Lamborajo 1 exactly, and the printed private 3D2N suits a first trip together. Day 1 brings the Kelor climb, the Manjarite snorkel and Kalong at dusk. Day 2 opens at Padar before sunrise, then Pink Beach, Komodo with a ranger, Taka Makassar and Manta Point. Day 3 returns around midday, in time for a flight home after 14:00.
The split for 24, whole boat: IDR 56,000,000 (≈ USD 3,436) for 3D2N, or IDR 2,330,000 (≈ USD 143) each. A class short on days or money takes the 2D1N at IDR 49,000,000 (≈ USD 3,006), IDR 2,040,000 (≈ USD 125) each, and gives up Manta Point and Taka Makassar.
On Lamborajo 2 the same 24 pay IDR 4,960,000 (≈ USD 304) each and every pair gets a private bathroom. Park tickets, flights and a guide stay outside every figure; the whole-boat price page lists every band.

Beds for friends: bunks, queens and extra beds
Lamborajo 1 is the natural fit. Its three Share Cabins hold 4 single bunks each, so 12 friends fill them without a second thought. The Full Ocean cabin and the two Master Ocean cabins take the rest, up to 24 guests in all.
Lamborajo 2 sleeps friends two or three to a cabin. Its five Superior cabins pair a queen bed with a single bed, so a trio fits one cabin, and its Family Ocean View takes four. Lamborajo 3 sleeps 22 at most, and its four Superior cabins hold 2 each on a queen bed with no extra bed.
The shared bathrooms are Lamborajo 1's limit. Four of its six cabins use them, so a class that expects a bathroom for every pair should price Lamborajo 2.
Collecting money before the deposit date
The deposit is 50% of the quote, and it holds the date. The balance falls due 30 days before sailing. Between the two lies the stretch in which a class collects its money.
Treat the whole-boat price as a total, and divide it by the names that have paid, not by the names on the list. If 14 friends commit to a boat quoted for 16, the band still fits, but each share is higher than the one you announced.
Cancel 60 days or more ahead and 50% comes back; cancel between 59 and 30 days out and 25% does. A friend who drops out late does not change the total unless the head count crosses a band, which happens at 13 and 17 guests.
A smaller crowd than it sounds
Twelve friends use three Share Cabins on Lamborajo 1. The other three cabins stay empty, and the 12-guest price is the same as for eight. Twenty friends take 20 of the 25 places on Lamborajo 2 and leave five spare.
On the water it feels smaller still. The route is the same for all three boats, and the stops are walked with a guide on the open trip and with a ranger at Komodo. A group of twenty spreads along a ridge on Padar and across a sandbar at Taka Makassar. Back aboard, the decks, the dining area and the cabins pull a class apart into small clusters of three or four.
All three lists print a Bluetooth sound system and a karaoke set, and Lamborajo 2 and 3 add a bar.
