Guest Reviews of Komodo Trips Booked with Us
Updated 20 October 2026
The reviews on this page are guest reviews of trips booked with PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia across the boats we book. They are not reviews of Lamborajo 1, 2 or 3 unless the quote names one. Excerpts carry a link to the original, and WhatsApp messages carry a first name only.
Where these reviews come from
The block below draws from three sources: Google, Tripadvisor and WhatsApp messages from guests who agreed to share them. Each entry shows its source.
These are reviews of the company's trips on a range of boats. The three Lamborajo boats are among the boats we book, and a review names a boat only if the guest wrote the name.
Nothing here is written by us.
“We saw not one, not two, but seven manta rays swimming together and I got to swim right among them. One passed maybe 2 metres below me and I could see every detail of its pattern.”
“They made our 2nd anniversary absolutely perfect. We got to stand just metres away from an actual Komodo dragon — the ranger was right there. The crew even played our song while we watched the sun go down.”
“Very good boat, good experience, and fulfilled my dream to see a Komodo dragon.”
“Freedivers, listen up: the visibility was absolutely insane — 30+ metres on good days. Taka Makassar was my favourite, white sand bottom at 15 m that looks like a desert paradise underwater.”
“Loved the experience — the team and crew are the best.”
“We did everything — paddleboard at sunrise, snorkel with sea turtles and manta rays with the love of my life by my side. The mantas were the grand finale — massive, elegant, just cruisin by.”
“Pengalaman yang luar biasa!”
“We watched the most gorgeous sunset while thousands of flying foxes (kalong) started flying above us against the orange sky. The crew knew exactly where to position the boat for the best view.”
“Pink Beach was our favourite spot — the pink sand against that crazy blue water. On the anjungan (front deck) we got gorgeous photos with the sail and open sea behind us.”
“Hands down the best tour I've joined in 6 months of travelling Southeast Asia — not too fancy, not too basic, just right. Sleeping on deck under stars was a major highlight. Worth every penny of my tight budget.”

What the five-star filter is and is not
The page shows five-star reviews. That is a selection, not an average, and it says nothing about every guest. The full set of ratings sits on the original platform, which each excerpt links to.
Messages from WhatsApp carry no star rating. They appear as the guest wrote them.
If you want a rounder picture, open the linked platform page and read the whole list.
What is not a review of these boats
A page about three boats invites the assumption that every quote on it describes one of them. Most do not. A quote about a cabin, a meal or a crew refers to the boat that guest sailed, and that boat is not always a Lamborajo.
The owner's badges and awards do not appear here, and no rating is shown for Lamborajo 1, 2 or 3 as boats. The cabin, deck and price facts about the three come from the owner's rate cards, not from reviews.
Excerpts, links and first names
Quotes from Google and Tripadvisor are short excerpts of at most 40 words, each with a link to the source. We do not copy a longer text.
WhatsApp quotes show a first name and, where given, a country. The guest's consent is on record before we publish.
Sending us yours
After a trip, a review on Google or Tripadvisor reaches the most readers, and a message to us on WhatsApp reaches us directly. If you want yours shown here, say so, and we ask for consent in writing before it appears.
A review that names a boat helps the next guest choose among the three. Name the boat and the cabin.
