Komodo solo traveler: the one boat that accepts 1 guest, and the bunk it sells
Updated 20 October 2026
For a Komodo solo traveler, Lamborajo 1 is the boat that accepts 1 guest: its Share Cabin sells one bunk at IDR 3,000,000 (≈ USD 184) per person, 3D2N open trip, with the guide and documentation included. The cabin has four single bunks and a shared bathroom. Every other cabin on the three boats needs 2 paying guests.
One bunk in a four-bunk cabin
The Share Cabin is on the main deck of Lamborajo 1. It has four single bunks and a shared bathroom, and it is sold by the bed from a single guest at IDR 3,000,000 (≈ USD 184) per person. Lamborajo 1 has three of them. Because the bunks are sold one by one, the other three beds in your cabin can go to other guests; the cabin and the bathroom are shared.
The price list prints no solo supplement. That does not mean the question is closed. If you want a cabin to yourself, the answer is to ask, and the answer comes back in writing before you pay.
The price includes the local guide and the photo documentation on the open trip. Park tickets, a gratuity, flights and the hotel in Labuan Bajo are extra.
Solo traveler on the Lamborajo 1 open trip: three days
A solo traveler sails the open-trip route printed for Lamborajo 1. You meet the group at 09:00 at the airport or your hotel, on a Monday or a Friday. Day 1 holds Manta Point, Taka Makassar and the Padar climb; day 2 Pink Beach, Komodo with a ranger and Kalong at sunset; day 3 Kelor and a return around midday.
Traveling alone changes little on the route and a lot in the cabin. The local guide leads every landing, so a solo guest is never left to find the way, and the photo documentation covers you as well. In the Share Cabin, the other three bunks go to other guests.
The price example for one guest: a Share Cabin bunk at IDR 3,000,000 (≈ USD 184) for the 3D2N, plus the park ticket bought in your name. The private alternative, a whole Lamborajo 1 for 1 guest, costs IDR 43,000,000 (≈ USD 2,638). The cabins page lists every seat, and the departures page shows the next Monday and Friday.

Every other cabin needs two paying guests
The Full Ocean and Master Ocean cabins on Lamborajo 1, all three cabin types on Lamborajo 2 and all three on Lamborajo 3 print a minimum of 2 guests. A solo traveler who wants one of them pays the two-guest minimum.
That is a real gap. The rule holds on every sailing date, with no exception printed for a single guest. The Master Ocean seat on Lamborajo 1 is IDR 4,550,000 (≈ USD 279) per person, so one guest would pay IDR 9,100,000 for the cabin. A bunk in the Share Cabin costs IDR 3,000,000 (≈ USD 184).
For one guest, the Share Cabin is the cabin to consider. The alternative, a private cabin alone, costs twice the seat price. We state both options and let the arithmetic decide.
Joining a Monday or Friday sailing
Open trips leave on Mondays and Fridays, and the next departure is Friday, 6 November 2026. The Share Cabin is on Lamborajo 1, so those are the sailings to read in the calendar below. A place in a four-bunk cabin is held by the bed.
You meet the group at 09:00 at the airport or your hotel, and the boat sails at 10:00. The trip returns around midday on day 3. Land the day before, and book the flight home after 14:00 on the last day.
The route is the printed 3D2N open-trip route. Manta Point, Taka Makassar and Padar come first on day 1, and the order flexes with weather and park quota. The captain decides on the day.
Scheduled departures are on Mondays and Fridays; our team confirms seats for each date.
What to bring, and what you pay separately
Bring sturdy closed shoes for Padar and Kelor, where the path is loose and steep. Bring a hat and reef-safe sunscreen, since Taka Makassar has little shade, and wear closed shoes at Komodo, with long sleeves or sunscreen, because the trails are open to the sun. Carry your own park ticket, bought online in your name, and keep a copy on your phone.
Safety is printed in the same list on all three boats: life jackets, a liferaft, a ring buoy, a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit, with AIS, radar, a compass, GPS and radio for navigation. Phone signal comes and goes between islands.
Paid separately: the park ticket, the ranger fee, flights, the hotel, insurance, personal expenses and a gratuity. The brochures print no gratuity amount, so you set it.
