The lowest seat, and what it shares

The Share Cabin on Lamborajo 1 costs IDR 3,000,000 (≈ USD 184) per person for 3D2N on the open trip. It is the lowest price on the three boats and the only seat sold from one guest. The price includes the local guide and the photo documentation, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the bunk.

What it shares is stated plainly. The cabin has four single bunks sold by the bed, so other guests can take the other three, and the bathroom is shared. Lamborajo 1 has three Share Cabins on the main deck.

Full Ocean, at IDR 3,550,000 (≈ USD 218), shares a bathroom too, with a queen bed and 2 single bunks. Only the Master Ocean cabins, at IDR 4,550,000 (≈ USD 279), have a private bathroom, and there are two of them. Each figure is from the 2026 price list, updated 4 May 2026.

Cheapest phinisi charter per person: the lengths that keep it low

The cheapest per-person charter comes from a full boat on a shorter route. On Lamborajo 1, 24 guests pay IDR 2,330,000 (≈ USD 143) each for 3D2N, IDR 2,040,000 (≈ USD 125) each for 2D1N and IDR 1,670,000 (≈ USD 102) each for a full day. Each figure divides the whole-boat price, add-on guests included, by 24.

Each length keeps a different part of the route. The full day sails Padar, Pink Beach and Komodo with a 05:00 pickup. The 2D1N adds Kelor, Manjarite and Kalong on day 1 and drops Manta Point and Taka Makassar. The 3D2N keeps all eight stops.

A budget group of 16 on the 3D2N pays IDR 45,000,000 (≈ USD 2,761) for Lamborajo 1, or IDR 2,810,000 (≈ USD 172) each, against IDR 6,060,000 (≈ USD 372) on Lamborajo 2. Park tickets apply on every length, and the whole-boat price page lists every band.

Where a filled Lamborajo 1 beats the seat price

A whole boat becomes cheaper than a seat once enough guests split it. The crossings on Lamborajo 1 are specific. A Master Ocean seat at IDR 4,550,000 (≈ USD 279) loses to the whole boat at 10 guests, which cost IDR 4,300,000 (≈ USD 264) each. A Full Ocean seat at IDR 3,550,000 (≈ USD 218) loses at 13 guests, with IDR 3,460,000 (≈ USD 212) each.

The Share Cabin seat is the hardest to beat. At 15 guests the whole boat costs IDR 3,000,000 (≈ USD 184) each, exactly the seat price. At 16 it falls to IDR 2,810,000 (≈ USD 172).

One caution applies to every crossing: the open-trip seat includes the local guide and the photo documentation, and a private charter does not. Add those, quoted separately, before you call the charter cheaper. Park tickets sit outside both.

The Superior class against the Luxury class, in rupiah

The Luxury boats cost roughly two to three times the Superior one for the same itinerary. At 12 guests, Lamborajo 2 costs IDR 88,000,000 (≈ USD 5,399) against IDR 43,000,000 (≈ USD 2,638) on Lamborajo 1, and Lamborajo 3 costs IDR 121,000,000 (≈ USD 7,423). That is a multiple of 2.0 and 2.8.

Per guest the gap is smaller than it sounds. At 12 guests, the step from Lamborajo 1 to Lamborajo 2 is IDR 3,750,000 each. At 20 guests it falls to IDR 2,950,000 each, because the difference between the two totals grows more slowly than the head count.

What the money buys is in the guide on the step from Superior to Luxury. What it does not buy is a different route, different park fees or a guide on a private charter.

Costs outside the fare

Several lines sit outside every fare, and they add up. Ranger and local levies are bundled with the government entrance ticket (IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day, PP 36/2024) in one KEXI park package per guest; the package is paid on top of the boat price unless the quote marks it as included. Flights to Labuan Bajo and the hotel before and after the trip are your own.

Travel insurance, personal expenses and a gratuity complete the list. The brochures print no gratuity amount, so the figure is yours to set.

On a private charter, add the local guide and the photo documentation if you want them. Both are quoted separately. A budget that counts only the fare undercounts the trip. The lowest fare matters less than the whole sum, and the whole sum is what we quote.
