Komodo Stops on the Lamborajo Boats, Day by Day

Updated 20 October 2026

All three Lamborajo boats call at the same seven stops: Kelor, Padar, Komodo, Pink Beach, Taka Makassar, Manta Point and Kalong. A private 3D2N opens on Kelor; the open trip opens on Manta Point. Each boat cruises at 7 to 10 knots, so the boat you pick does not change the sailing time between stops.

Stops printed on the cards, and stops confirmed in writing

The owner's rate cards print eight stop names across the private routes: Kelor, Manjarite, Kalong, Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo, Taka Makassar and Manta Point. Manjarite is the snorkel that follows Kelor, so it shares Kelor's page. That leaves seven pages for seven stops.

Two further pages, Sebayur and Kanawa, exist because guests ask about them. Neither appears on any Lamborajo card. If a route includes one, your written itinerary says so before you pay; until you hold that document, treat both as absent.

The same rule covers the last morning of a 3D2N and the first afternoon of a 4D3N. The cards print a time and a return, and the stop itself is named in your quote. For the open trip, the stop order is printed for Lamborajo 1 and Lamborajo 2. Lamborajo 3 sails the open trip too, and its route is confirmed in writing.

Cruising time is the same on all three

Lamborajo 1, Lamborajo 2 and Lamborajo 3 each print a cruising speed of 7 to 10 knots. Hull length does not move that figure: the 38 m Lamborajo 3 and the 26 m Lamborajo 1 cover the gap between two stops in the same stretch of the day.

Pick a boat for its cabins and its price. A bigger boat does not buy a longer stay at Padar or an earlier arrival at Komodo.

Park quota, tide and weather set the order, and the captain decides on the day. Nobody ashore can promise a stop order a week ahead, and this site does not try to.

Where the private route and the open trip diverge

The two products use different day plans. A private 3D2N opens on Kelor with a hill walk, then snorkels at Manjarite and ends day 1 at Kalong for sunset. Day 2 carries the long list: Padar trek, Pink Beach, Komodo trek, Taka Makassar and Manta Point.

The open trip runs the same stops in another order. Day 1 starts with Manta Point and Taka Makassar and closes at Padar. Day 2 takes Pink Beach, Komodo, one snorkel stop confirmed in writing, and Kalong at sunset. Day 3 ends on Kelor, and the boat reaches Labuan Bajo around midday.

The grid below lists every stop with its day on both products. Each name opens its own page.

FAQ

How many stops are there on a Lamborajo trip?

The private 3D2N route names eight: Kelor, Manjarite, Kalong, Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo, Taka Makassar and Manta Point. The open trip names seven, plus one snorkel stop confirmed in writing.

Are the stops the same on each boat?

Yes for the private routes, which use one printed template for all three boats. The open-trip route is printed for Lamborajo 1 and Lamborajo 2. For Lamborajo 3 it is confirmed in writing before you pay.

Which stops can change on the day?

Padar and Komodo depend on the park's daily quota, and Manta Point and Taka Makassar swap order with the tide. In each case the captain decides and tells you which stop replaces which.
