Lamborajo 1, 2 and 3 are three phinisi sold through PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia. A 3D2N whole-boat charter for 12 guests costs IDR 43,000,000 (≈ USD 2,638) on Lamborajo 1, IDR 88,000,000 (≈ USD 5,399) on Lamborajo 2 and IDR 121,000,000 (≈ USD 7,423) on Lamborajo 3. Open-trip seats leave on Mondays and Fridays. Park tickets are never in the fare.

Three boats, same rows: class, cabins, guests, price

Lamborajo 1 is the Superior class: 26 m, 6 cabins, up to 24 guests. Lamborajo 2 is Luxury class, with 8 cabins, up to 25 guests and a private bathroom with hot water in every cabin. Lamborajo 3, also Luxury, measures 38 m and takes up to 22 guests in its 8 cabins.

For 12 guests on 3D2N, the whole boat costs IDR 43,000,000 (≈ USD 2,638), IDR 88,000,000 (≈ USD 5,399) or IDR 121,000,000 (≈ USD 7,423). Divided by 12 guests, that is IDR 3,580,000 (≈ USD 220), IDR 7,330,000 (≈ USD 450) and IDR 10,080,000 (≈ USD 618) each. Same itinerary, same head count: Lamborajo 2 costs about twice the Lamborajo 1 total, and Lamborajo 3 nearly three times. The vessel pages itemize where that money goes.

The low price has a reason. Four of the 6 cabins on Lamborajo 1 use shared bathrooms, and its equipment list prints no bar, TV, jacuzzi, canoe or paddle boards. If every couple in your group needs a private bathroom, Lamborajo 1 drops out and the comparison is between Lamborajo 2 and 3.

Whole-boat cost per person, boat against boat

Eight guests pay the same total as twelve, because the first price band runs from 1 to 12 guests. On Lamborajo 1 that makes IDR 5,380,000 (≈ USD 330) each at 8 guests and IDR 3,580,000 (≈ USD 220) each at 12. At 16 guests the three boats come to IDR 2,810,000 (≈ USD 172), IDR 6,060,000 (≈ USD 372) and IDR 8,120,000 (≈ USD 498) per person.

The table below divides the whole-boat price by the head count for 8, 12 and 16 guests on 3D2N. Each boat's cabins and rates page carries the full rows, from 2 guests up to the maximum for that boat, for every length on the list. The 2026 price list was updated on 4 May 2026 and prints one price per band and duration, with no season column.

The whole-boat fare does not include a local guide or a photo and video set; both are available on request and quoted separately. Komodo park tickets and ranger fees are never part of any fare. The open trip includes the guide and the documentation, so a seat and a whole-boat share are not a like-for-like saving.

Groups, companies, families: the boat the numbers pick

Four common requests, worked through with the price list. The answer is not always the cheapest boat.

  • 8 guests, lowest cost: Lamborajo 1 at IDR 5,380,000 (≈ USD 330) each, against IDR 11,000,000 (≈ USD 675) on Lamborajo 2. The catch is bathrooms: only the 2 Master Ocean cabins have a private one.
  • 16 friends splitting a boat: Lamborajo 1 at IDR 2,810,000 (≈ USD 172) each, which is under the open-trip Share Cabin seat of IDR 3,000,000 (≈ USD 184). Guide and documentation come extra on a private charter.
  • 20 guests on a company outing: Lamborajo 2 at IDR 5,350,000 (≈ USD 328) each, with 8 private bathrooms, a bar, a TV and a karaoke set on its list. Lamborajo 3 costs IDR 7,000,000 (≈ USD 429) each for the same head count.
  • A family of 4 in one cabin: Lamborajo 2 Family Ocean View, queen bed plus 2 extra beds and a private bathroom, from IDR 7,200,000 (≈ USD 442) per person for the first two guests. The price for guests 3 and 4 is confirmed in writing.

Groups, Corporate and Family lead the grid below, followed by nine other trip types.

Next open-trip dates, identical on all three

Open trips on all three boats leave on Monday & Friday. The next departure is Friday, 6 November 2026. Because the sailing days match, one calendar covers all three boats, and the choice comes down to cabin and budget.

The open trip runs 3D2N only. For Lamborajo 1 and 2 the printed meeting point is the airport or your hotel at 09:00, with sailing at 10:00 and a return around midday on day 3. Meeting time and route for Lamborajo 3 are confirmed in writing before you pay.

Dates held by a private charter come off the calendar. If your preferred Monday or Friday is missing, tell us the cabin and head count, and our team replies with the nearest date on the same boat or the same date on another one.

Scheduled departures are on Mondays and Fridays; our team confirms seats for each date.

Departure calendar

Cabins per vessel, and where to read the prices

Nine types of cabin sit across the three boats. Lamborajo 1 has 3 Share Cabins with 4 single bunks each, a Full Ocean and 2 Master Ocean cabins. Lamborajo 2 has 5 Superior cabins, a Family Ocean View and 2 Master Ocean View cabins with a private balcony. Lamborajo 3 has 4 Superior cabins, 2 Master Ocean and 2 Royal Master Ocean.

Only Lamborajo 3 sells a cabin with a private jacuzzi and a private balcony: its 4 Master Ocean and Royal Master Ocean cabins. That is also where the seat prices climb.

The cabins and seat prices page sets all nine types in one table, per person on the 3D2N open trip, next to the cell where each cabin loses. Each vessel page covers the decks, bathrooms and beds of that boat.

When none of the three is the right pick

Four cases send you elsewhere or change the question.

  • Up to 14 guests, when the lowest price matters most: a Lamborajo 1 Share Cabin seat costs less than a share of any whole boat. Two people on a whole boat pay the 12-guest total split two ways.
  • More than 25 guests: no single boat carries them. Lamborajo 3 stops at 22, Lamborajo 1 at 24 and Lamborajo 2 at 25, so a larger party splits across two boats.
  • A bathtub or a satellite internet link: the May 2026 brochures print neither. Local Wi-Fi is the crew's mobile-signal hotspot, patchy between islands, so video calls from the water are not something to plan on.
  • A solo traveler who wants a cabin alone: no seat is sold that way. The only cabin sold from 1 guest is the Lamborajo 1 Share Cabin, with 4 bunks and a shared bathroom.

Each vessel page closes with the same check, boat by boat: who it suits and who should pick another.

Stops on the route, one sea for all three boats

All three boats print the same cruising speed, 7 to 10 knots, so the choice of boat does not change the sailing time to a stop. The printed routes name Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo, Taka Makassar, Manta Point, Kalong and Kelor, plus Manjarite as a snorkel stop on day 1 of the private 3D2N.

The open-trip route printed for Lamborajo 1 and 2 starts with Manta Point, Taka Makassar and Padar on day 1. Day 2 covers Pink Beach, Komodo and the Kalong sunset, and day 3 is Kelor before the return to Labuan Bajo around midday. For Lamborajo 3 the route is confirmed in writing. Manta sightings are not guaranteed. Weather and park quota move the order, and the captain sets it on the day. Where the boat spends the night depends on the weather and the captain's decision that day.

Park tickets are bought per visitor and sit outside every fare: IDR 250,000 for international visitors and IDR 50,000 for Indonesian citizens on a weekday.

Month by month, boat by boat

The sea is the same for all three boats, so the season grid below is one grid. Seas run calm from April to June and from October to November, and rougher in January and February and again in July and August. Manta sightings peak in the windy months, so the calmest water and the best manta odds do not fall in the same month.

What changes by boat is the cabin, not the weather. A group that chooses July or August for the mantas is choosing a livelier sea, and no cabin upgrade calms it.

The 4 May 2026 price list prints no season column. If a rate changes before your balance is due, we tell you first and you can cancel without charge.

Pickup, vehicles and events, and who sells these trips

Hotel or airport pickup and drop-off in Labuan Bajo is part of every fare on the three boats. A Toyota HiAce with up to 12 seats or a larger coach can be added, quoted separately. Meetings on a deck, company outings, family dinners on an island, a photographer or cabin decoration are quoted in writing, and nothing is added to a fare without a written quote.

This site is published and booked by PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia (NIB 1805260128363), a booking partner for the three Lamborajo boats. The boats belong to their owner, who runs them and publishes its own website. We sell the booking, answer your questions and are responsible for it. It is not the official Lamborajo website.

Free pickup

Pickup from your hotel, the airport or the harbor is free in both directions, and the time and the point are agreed in writing before you pay.

For a larger party, a Toyota HiAce seats up to 12 and a bigger coach comes on request; either is quoted as its own line.

Guest reviews of trips booked with us, not of Lamborajo 1, 2 or 3 specifically

“We saw not one, not two, but seven manta rays swimming together and I got to swim right among them. One passed maybe 2 metres below me and I could see every detail of its pattern.”

“They made our 2nd anniversary absolutely perfect. We got to stand just metres away from an actual Komodo dragon — the ranger was right there. The crew even played our song while we watched the sun go down.”

“Very good boat, good experience, and fulfilled my dream to see a Komodo dragon.”

FAQ

Which Lamborajo costs least per person for 12 guests?

Lamborajo 1: IDR 3,580,000 (≈ USD 220) each on a 3D2N whole-boat charter, against IDR 7,330,000 (≈ USD 450) on Lamborajo 2 and IDR 10,080,000 (≈ USD 618) on Lamborajo 3. All three charge one total for 1 to 12 guests, so 8 guests pay the 12-guest total and each empty seat raises everyone's share.

What does a private charter leave out of the fare?

A local guide and a photo and video set are not included on any private charter; both are on request and quoted separately. Komodo park tickets and ranger fees are never in a fare, at IDR 250,000 for international visitors and IDR 50,000 for Indonesian citizens on a weekday. Flights, Labuan Bajo hotels, insurance, gratuity and personal spending also stay outside.

Are 2027 dates open on the Lamborajo boats?

Yes. 2027 open-trip dates and private charters can be reserved now, with 2027 rates on request. The price list in force applies until the 2027 list is issued; if a rate changes before your balance is due, we tell you first and you can cancel without charge.

Can a company book a whole Lamborajo?

Yes. Lamborajo 2 takes up to 25 guests and costs IDR 5,350,000 (≈ USD 328) each at 20 guests on 3D2N. Tell us at booking that the payer is a company, and we confirm in writing what the paperwork will state.

Who runs this website, the boats' owner or a booking partner?

A booking partner. PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia sells and answers for the booking; the three boats and their crew belong to the vessel owner, who has its own website.
